Hey thanks guys. Deon thanks for pointing out that 42 women beat me. Most of them passed me when I was updating the blog, otherwise they wouldn’t have!
Stan, you’re truly amazing! I’ll only run if I’m paid to, and I’m never paid to! You on the other hand not only run, but create blogging history in the process. Next time you’re running the Comrades, why don’t you try running while playing the bag pipes and simultaneously recording it to the blog – now I would even join your church if you did that!!! Well done laddy.
Re. the 42 women beating you… you know that bit in pot fall Genesis that talks about about women having pain in childbirth? Well, I suspect that part of the original manuscript has been lost that said something like “…and women will pass you in marathons.” In that context, you need to be grateful for the ones who didn’t, get over it and move on!
Gratz on your 4th medal Stan!
Thanks for the updates. It was a pleasure following your progress.
Excellent time Stan – 8:34. You beat about 9700 runners – pity about the 42 women that got there before you. Well, there’s always next year.
Have fun reading the 95 comments i posted!
love you daddy
Well done Stan!
