The 2016 GCM Training Plan is ready for download. The plan builds up to the key focal point for many Striders. The SE QLD running calendar is rapidly changing and some key races have shifted to much later. This has provided a few complications for 2016 as we can no longer rely on the usual schedule of races to build up from 10km, to Half and then to marathon. In this plan I have chosen some different races to achieve the classic build up. Runners may need to choose between the club championship or the Gold Coast for some of the key races as the two priorities clash with each other. As coaches we will revisit the schedule of club championship races for 2017 in light of the changes that are happening to the race scheduling.
The interval distances are indicative and coaches will provide variation and creativity around these distances. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask your coaches.
